Sharing the Bond with Egyptian Arabians Through Photography

Duane and Diana Cantey have been breeding Straight Egyptian Arabian horses in Mount Vernon, AR for almost 20 years and share their passion in a very innovative way. They provide a unique experience for high school and college aged models to pose with, and learn about Straight Egyptian horses.

Diana has been shooting photography for over 15 years, and a few years ago, began shooting local high school girls with the horses. It allowed for an opportunity to expose younger people to the breed and provide them with a special interaction.  Her husband Duane is right by her side helping with the shoots, taking care of the horses and creatively works the props to get the horse's attention. "It takes a team to pull off a successful shoot, from prepping the horses to making sure the models are comfortable. We want it to be a great experience for all and the Straight Egyptian horses we have used have been great ambassadors for their breed."

Diana's work was recently published in Arab Horse Couture Magazine. Her article, Truth is Beauty, Beauty Truth - Discovering the Straight Egyptian Horse Through Photography, is featured on pages 66-77 of the Summer 2017 issue.
