Dear Pyramid Society Members and Egyptian Arabian Enthusiasts:
Although we read it some 60 years later than its penned date of 1954, I have found the words from Ronald Duncan’s “The Horse” remain just as relevant today:
Where in this wide world can man find nobility without pride,
Friendship without envy,
Or beauty without vanity?
Here, where grace is served with muscle
And strength by gentleness confined.
He serves without servility; he has fought without enmity.
There is nothing so powerful, nothing less violent.
There is nothing so quick, nothing more patient.
We have another year behind us and an exciting year before us. May you continue to be inspired by the gift of the horse.
It is a pleasure to serve as President of The Pyramid Society, and on behalf of our Board and Trustees, we wish all of you a blessed holiday and a prosperous New Year!
The Pyramid Society
