Gerzanne Stud’s Mare, SS Tiflaa (TF Fezzan x Simeon Setami) has had a very successful 2017/2018 Show season. In December she was awarded the North Island Champion Mare Title, and last weekend attended the 2018 New Zealand National Championships where she won the Titles of 2018 NZ Champion Mare and South Island Champion Mare. We were thrilled as the trip to the South Island is extremely arduous with a 6 hour road trip to Wellington, crossing the Cook Strait - a 3 hour ferry ride, and a further 6 hour road trip to Christchurch. SS Tiflaa is out of Simeon Setami by Simeon Sadik, who we purchased from Simeon Stud in 1994, and she has been a wonderful producer for Gerzanne Stud. SS Tiflaa’s two brothers have also taken out NZ National Championship Titles. A half brother to Tiflaa, SS Seth, was shown at the North Island Championships where he was Reserve Champion Gelding, and 3 weeks later attended another A Class show where he won the Taranaki Premier Show Champion Gelding Title and was runner up to the Supreme Champion. TF Fezzan by Botswana, imported in 2005 is certainly making his mark here at Gerzanne.
