Vudu Magic Arabians welcomed a Straight Egyptian foal on July 11, 2018. VMA Noufous Asseefa (pending) is a chestnut filly by Kaliph MH and out of VMA Malakah Shakirah, whose name translates to "Spirits of the Storm." Storm, as she is called, was conceived in a late-season whirlwind involving a lost shipment, a lost EBC opportunity, and a four hour window for conception success. Upon discovery that the shippers could not deliver semen in time, Vudu Magic reached out to Hadaya Arabians, who offered Kaliph MH for breeding, and the mare was settled that afternoon.
Gerzanne Stud’s Mare, SS Tiflaa (TF Fezzan x Simeon Setami) has had a very successful 2017/2018 Show season. In December she was awarded the North Island Champion Mare Title, and last weekend attended the 2018 New Zealand National Championships where she won the Titles of 2018 NZ Champion Mare and South Island Champion Mare. We were thrilled as the trip to the South Island is extremely arduous with a 6 hour road trip to Wellington, crossing the Cook Strait - a 3 hour ferry ride, and a further 6 hour road trip to Christchurch.
