Keri and Carolee Wright write in with anticipation: "The 2012 foaling season isn't quite over at Cariswood. We're eagerly awaiting the arrival of our next addition by Ansata Qasim and out of EAI Yasafeena. This mating produced a beautiful colt for us last year, and he's coming along nicely. This time around, though, we've been hoping and praying for a filly that would allow us to preserve this blood in female form..."

Ansata Qasim descends through *Bint Mona in tail female through his dam, MB Moneena (Safeen x Talmona). His sire is the wonderful Farres (Anaza El Farid x Shameerah). EAI Yasafeena is very closely related to MB Moneena.  She is also by Safeen (*Ibn Safinaz x Abitibi Madeena) and out of a half-sister to MB Moneena, Yasamine (Tammen x Talmona).

"Breeding this close is never without risk," notes Keri, "but is also necessary at times in order to "set" type. The doubling up of the *Bint Mona blood combined with the wonderful influence of Farres, Safeen and Tammen through the sire lines worked so well for us last year that we decided we just had to try it again. Think PINK, everybody!"
