The Third Annual Arabian Foal Festival Show, presented by the Santa Ynez Valley Arabian Horse Association, was held August 22-23rd at Montanaro, near the village of Los Olivos, California.
The property includes a charming and nostalgic early 1900’s grocery store and a small mill, bordered by a lovely natural grass field; the perfect location for weddings, graduations and...a Foal Festival!
Judges for this year’s event were Shawn Cruz of Arabians Ltd., Lisa Markley a longtime Arizona breeder, and Bill Melendez, a trainer, Judge and AHA official. The Festival was again enthusiastically supported through sponsorships by area farms and local vendors. Several Pyramid Society Member farms were well represented with foals winning a number of titles, including Silver Maple Farm, Om El Arab and Al Jassimya.
The Arabian Breeders Celebration, held April 21 – 24, 2015, kicked off with a welcome party hosted by Aljassimya Farm at the Santa Ynez Valley Historical Museum & Parks Janeway Carriage House in Santa Ynez. Attendees then enjoyed relaxing in the countryside for four days of presentations and group discussions alongside the horses who define our breed in all its splendor! Participating Pyramid Society Member Farms, including Silver Maple Farms, Om El Arab International, and AlJassimya Farm showcased their breeding programs for seasoned Arabian enthusiasts and newcomers alike.
