Duane and Diana Cantey are excited to share that they have once again been invited to work with The Horsemens Roundup, Arkansas's statewide all-breed monthly journal for the January issue!

This is the Roundup's 25th anniversary year, so for the cover we featured the Straight Egyptian Arabian mare Shyna Al Atiq who is owned and bred by Anne-Louise Toner, and pictured with Arkansas State University senior, Hannah Sneed. We leased her last season and will be breeding her this year to Maknificent KA - her first foal that many are very excited about!

The feature article focuses on promoting the Straight Egyptian horse through photography. We felt that a rerun of the article on a local level would be a good idea. The article was first published by Arab Horse Coutour Magazine and distributed at the Chantilly, France Arabian show. We have fewer Straight Egyptian breeders in the state of Arkansas now as compared to when we moved here almost 18 years ago. Not many local folks know about them, or that many breeds are derived from Arabians. We have received many compliments on the feature. Included in the feature's opening photo is the beautiful Straight Egyptian stallion Ali Razeel Gale, owned by fellow Arkansas breeder Betty Gale Davis. Local high school girls are posed with our foundation mare Azaamah (1995, Tammen x Aleeyah), dam of numerous champions as well as Shyna.  Both mares enjoyed the attention and making new friends.

We look forward to each new encounter, and believe that this is a great way to promote the breed as a great family horse with a proud and distinguished heritage. No matter who visits the farm, everyone falls in love with the horses. We are proud to promote them wherever we are!
