AAHA had great time at their annual All Arabian Horse Show on March 18th and 19th, 2016!
On March 18th & 19th, 2016 The Alabama Arabian Horse Association held their annual All Arabian Horse Show at The Covington Center Arena in Andalusia, Al. The show included very competitive classes in Main Ring Halter/Performance, Egyptian and Egyptian Heritage Classes. The Silent Auction included breedings to several outstanding stallions. We would like to thank Allison Mehta, Shawn Crews & Judy Sirbasku, Nancy Janosik, Cathy Vincent, and Curtis Wesley for donating the breedings to these World Class Stallions. There were many other equine and non equine related items that stimulated a lot of back and forth bidding. Also, during the Saturday afternoon break, Pyramid Society members sponsored a Wine and Cheese Party that really helped move the Silent Auction into “high gear”. We would also like to thank The Pyramid Society for donating prizes for our Egyptian Championship Classes. Talaria Farms held a Saturday Brunch that was absolutely delicious! Thank you Allison and Curtis for keeping everyone well fed. In addition to the shows traditional Move In Pizza Party and the Saturday Evening Exhibitors Party, the Show Committee picked up on a St. Patrick’s Day theme and held a Leprechaun Toss. The winner took home $220.00! Pagan Gilman sponsored a very fun and entertaining Leprechaun Costume Class for the kids. The kids’ outfits and their horses were adorable! Not to be outdone, some of the trainers took it upon themselves to add their own Leprechaun Costume Class. It was a great show with exciting classes and fun for everyone!
We hope everyone will join us next year at our expanded show in Tunica, MS. It will be a four region qualifier that will include Main Ring Halter/Performance, Egyptian & Egyptian Heritage classes, Sport Horse in Hand and Under Saddle, Dressage, Trail, and Reining classes. The dates are March 22nd through March 26th. Be on the lookout for more information as we get closer to the date!
