Reminder to submit photos as part of 40th Anniversary Celebration!

REMINDER:

As part of our 40th Anniversary Celebrations, we would like to remember and honor as many members, past and present, as possible. To do so we have decided to embark upon two projects: a 40th Anniversary DVD, and the creation of a display entitled “Fabulous Forty…a Photographic Journey”.

The DVD will be shown for the first time at the Event and the “Fabulous Forty Photos” will be on display in the Legacy Lounge throughout the week of the 2009 Egyptian Event. Both projects will contain candid photographs of Pyramid Society functions through the last four decades. However, we need your help in making these projects truly all embracing celebrations. We are asking members to send us photographs from not only previous Egyptian Events, but any/all Pyramid Society activities, including conferences, parties and get-togethers from years gone by. Horse photographs are always appropriate, but we are really looking for the faces of the people who have made this organization what it is today, and whose sacrifice and dedication has kept The Pyramid Society in the forefront through the last four decades.

Photographs for the 40th anniversary DVD, need to be the best quality possible, and submitted either electronically to Brandon@deshazer.com or originals mailed to him at: DeShazer Arabians, c/o: Brandon Bryan, 17025 Shaw Road, Cypress, TX  77429 clearly marked with a return envelope.  Please identify all persons in the photos. Deadline for submissions is April 15th, 2009.  Brandon will return your original photos and also make copies of your submissions for display at the Egyptian Event.

The “Fabulous Forty Photos” display during the Egyptian Event will consist of copies of photographs from those sent to Brandon for use in the DVD, as well as any additional photos sent to us. These photos should be between 4” x 6” and 5” x 7” and sent to The Pyramid Society offices. The people in all photos as well as any equine photographs should be identified. Deadline for these submissions is May 15th, 2009. Again, remember to send copies as we cannot guarantee their safe return due to the fact this will be a public display.

This project is truly member driven, so we are relying on your input. Remember these should not be “professional” photographs. Ideally, we are looking for the candid shot, amusing shot, the photographs that depict the unique camaraderie we share as Pyramid Society members and Straight Egyptian breeders.

So pull out the old photo albums, dust them off, send those pictures our way and let’s make this a truly all-encompassing celebration of our shared history.
