Tom & Gail Chasteen of Meadow Creek Arabians recently visited their multi-discipline champion stallion, The Bandera+ (Alixir x Arabella MCA), in Scottsdale, AZ, and sent in this update... "Bandera is now standing at Sandspur Ranch where he is in training with Tara Carpio," says Tom, "Also residing at Sandspur is Rasheedah Al Ameen (The Bandera x Noir Desir). Rasheedah is a 2014 flashy show filly owned by Bill and Cheryl Corcoran of Blythewood, SC."

Jéanne Abernathy of BrookHill Farm, LLC, in Franklin, TN, writes with enthusiasm to share that her daughter, Jacklyn, has been named the Arabian Horse Association's "Youth of the Year" for 2014-2015... The official AHA Press Release states: "AHA’s ‘Youth of the Year’ award honors one outstanding youth member annually. Criteria for this prestigious award are based on his or her achievements and contributions to the Arabian horse industry, AHA, and his or her community.

Shawn Crews, manager at Judy Sirbasku's Arabians Ltd. in Waco, Texas, was excited to share about the farm's recent 28th Annual Client Weekend, plus Amateur Horse Show and inaugural Judges Symposium held in late October... "Perfect weather, super horses and tons of hands-on experience for all," is how Shawn characterized the gathering.

Marion Richmond of Simeon Stud in Australia recently shared some great photos and a few updates about foaling season, which is in its height right now in Australia. "At Simeon Stud this year we had 16 foals due," she states, "At the time of writing, 11 are on the ground and another five are due in the coming weeks. We have three by our young stallion, Simeon Sahron, a handsome bay colt from champion Simeon Shiraz (Asfour x Simeon Shuala), as well as a beautiful grey filly, a true gift.
