Ownership is not a prerequisite for membership. The Egyptian Arabian comprises less than 4% of registered Arabians. Therefore, numerous members join because they appreciate the history of the Egyptian Arabian horse and wish to help support the organization's ongoing efforts of preserving, promoting and perpetuating the Egyptian Arabian horse. Non-owners may join at the Supporting Member level.
- Do I need to be a member to participate in the Egyptian Event and other Pyramid Society Programs?

Owners of horses participating in the Egyptian Event and other Pyramid Society programs are required to be current members of The Pyramid Soceity. Riders and handlers who do not own any horses participating in the Egyptian Event are not required to be owners. However there is an annual $20 Non-owner Rider/Handler fee.
- Does my horse qualify for the Egyptian Event?

Horses do not need to accumulate points to enter the Egyptian Event and no points are earned by participation. Horses participating in the Egyptian Event need to be Straight Egyptian or Egyptian Bred/Sired by Pyramid Society definition and owner of participating horses need to be current members of The Pyramid Society.

To qualify for The Pyramid Society’s programs and the Egyptian Event, a horse must be straight Egyptian or Egyptian bred/sired by Pyramid Society definition.

The Pyramid Society’s website is a good first stop for information on the history of the Egyptian Arabian. You’ll find a substantial bibliography of books and other publications to introduce you to individual horses and breeding programs, as well as helpful suggestions on buying and breeding. Also, the Arabian Horse Association’s Data Source identifies Egyptian Arabians and provides a listing of accomplishments for each horse in selected shows.
