The 2010 Egyptian Event held June 7-12 offers the following programs.

  • "A Gift from the Desert: the Art, History and Culture of the Arabian Horse", located in the Kentucky Horse Park's International Museum of the Horse, is sponsored by the Saudi Arabian Equestrian Federation. The Pyramid Society will host an exquisite, ticketed reception for this extraordinary exhibition during the Egyptian Event on Thursday, June 10, 2010 at 7:00 p.m.
  • The long awaited Arabian Horse Galleries will celebrate their grand opening with a reception during the Egyptian Event on Saturday, June 12, 2010 from 5:00-7:00 p.m.  This ticketed reception will include a cocktail hour, ribbon cutting ceremony and an exclusive first-tour of the Galleries.

  • The Futurities - a lucrative program whereby members may nominate their unborn foals and later show them for high honors and dollars. Over $1,500,000.00 has been paid out since the program's inception.

  • The Egyptian Breeders' Challenge Auction (EBC) - This tremendously popular auction offers breedings to more than 75 Straight Egyptian stallions each year. Foals resulting from these auctioned breedings are eligible to compete as  yearlings for huge prize money in the Amateur to Handle EBC classes. The payout in 2009 exceeded $97,000.00!

  • Egyptian Event Showring Participation - The opportunity for members to showcase their horses, as well as compete for a portion of over $190,000.00 in prize money! The new live feed coverage also enabled thousands around the world to 'sit in' on classes at the Event!
  • The Stallion Showcase - The opportunity for members to present their Straight Egyptian stallions individually, providing exceptional exposure to an international audience. Mare owners particularly enjoyed this opportunity to select future sires for their breeding programs.
  • The Jewels of the Nile Private Treaty Sale - A targeted sales opportunity to showcase and sell your horses at the Egyptian Event.
  • Commercial Farm Exhibitis - Put your farm and horses in the spotlight with a commercial booth at the Egyptian Event. All booths receive excellent visibility on the concourse of the indoor arena, at a very reasonable rate.
  • Complimentary Seminars, Clinics and Demonstrations - Providing a significant source of information for newcomers as well as established breeders.
  • The Youth Program - Activities for the younger attendees through a competitive Junior High Point Award Program, seminars, junior and amateur show classes, a youth judging class, contests, and an enjoyable Legacy Lounge.
  • The Pyramid Challenge Endurance Ride - Including 25 and 50 mile all-breed AERC sanctioned rides, further exhibiting the versatility of the Arabian horse in this rapidly growing international sport.
  • "A Gift from the Desert...Vegas Style" Gala & Fundraiser - Friday, June 11, held at the Embassy Suites. A night filled with great food, entertainment and exquisite art and other items available through the silent and live auction.
  • Superb Shopping - Through the Silent Auction as well as with the numerous commercial exhibitors lining the concourse of the arena, allowing attendees the opportunity to acquire unique treasures of every description.
  • Casual Barn Parties - Allowing visitors a personal introduction to the participating farms and horses in attendance at the Event.
