The "Let's Get Started Clinic" with Alice Smith and Lisa Abraham

On March 19 & 20, 2011, Alice Smith and Lisa Abraham will hold the "Let's Get Started" clinic, hosted by Pegasus Farms in Folsum, La. This clinic will focus on the basics of three interests. Day one will be solely devoted to preparing your horse to go under saddle. It will cover the steps between teaching your horse to accept a bit, up to actually "hoppin' on." Alice's "back to the basics," step-by-step approach will make this topic easily understandable to all. The morning of Day Two will be an introduction to the sport of endurance – covering both the equipment necessary and fundamentals of the sport. The afternoon will then be spent learning professional grooming.
Alice Smith, of Bent Tree Arabians, is a veteran in the industry. Although Alice's first love is endurance, the depth of her experience touches on a variety of disciplines including halter, hunter, Western, English, show hack, costume and even actual cow work! Early in her career, Alice was highly influenced by Tom and Rhita McNair. Alice said of her experience, "They drilled me from A to Z." I think the industry as a whole would agree, if you got "drilled" by Tom McNair, that means you learned RIGHT!!
The "Let's Get Started" clinic will be hosted by John and Keri Angelo of Pegasus Farms in Folsum, La. Pegasus Farms is home to the beautiful Shahir IASB daughter Pharrah Magidaa (X Miss Maggie Mae) and her babies. A special hotel rate will be offered for guests. The cost of the clinic will be $100 per person with a $25 deposit to reserve your spot.
