Joe Ferriss, one of the best-known interpreters of the desert tradition in Arabian breeding, has been a guest speaker and lecturer on Arabians since 1980 as well as serving as the Editor/designer of Khamsat Magazine for 15 years. Joe has traveled on research trips in Jordan, Syria, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain. In addition, he has designed and produced books published by Judi Forbis, and The Pyramid Society since 1991 as well as a number of other books on related Middle Eastern subjects. He continues to write articles internationally and is working on a forthcoming book relating his discoveries and adventures with Arabians for over 39 years.
Joe Ferriss, one of the most widely recognized historians on the Arabian horse, will examine the legendary traditions of the horse-breeding tribes of Arabia. By reviewing a number of images of art and photos, past and present, he will discuss a variety of characteristics of the Arabian Horse of the desert and the context in which those features were created and valued.
