Lone Tamarak Arabians to Host Conformation and Nutrition Clinic
Have you ever wondered if your horse is conformationally correct for your chosen discipline? Come and join us for a fun and informative day with Dr. John Shelle of Michigan State University.Understanding how the anatomy of a horse affects its performance will help you in selecting an athletic horse just right for you. We will have many different breeds present for John's presentation of this topic and how it affects all breeds. So whether you are looking to buy a new horse, or are trying to figure out what discipline is right for your horse, you show in Halter or as a Breeder, the information you receive will excite you to new levels!

We also will be discussing Mare and Foal Nutrition, especially the last trimester, which is important for that foal to be born healthy. Proper nutrition for your horse enhances his/her performance and general well-being.
Dr. Shelle developed the MSU Horse Program in 1984 and is a member of the Equine Nutrition and Physiology Society and the National Horse Judging Team Coaches Assocation. He breeds National Champion Arabian Halter and Performance horses and has coached and judged numerous National Champion teams and competitions. Dr. Shelle has a master's degree in Animal Husbandry and a Ph.D. in Animal Sciences and currently teaches six courses in Equine Animal Sciences at MSU.
