Georgia Egyptian Breeders' Alliance (GEBA) Hosts Workshop
The Georgia Egyptian Breeders' Alliance (GEBA) hosted a breeders' workshop, featuring Holly Reuter of Holly Arabians, in Colorado, and sponsored and hosted by Night Diamond Arabians, in Brooks, Georgia on November 20, 2010. The gorgeous fall day was an exceptional opportunity to learn about breeding for performance and diversity of type, as well as managing stallions and marketing offspring. The workshop combined lecture and discussion, as well as presentations of the beautiful Straight Egyptian stock owned and bred by Julie Nestor of Night Diamond Arabians.
Holly Reuter, workshop presenter, is a breeder of more than 100 Straight Egyptian and Al Khamsa Egyptian Desert Arabian horses. Horses from her breeding program have gone on to claim National, Egyptian Event, Regional and Class A Halter and Performance wins. The workshop provided the opportunity for learning and netowrking for local Arabian enthusiasts.
The Georgia Egyptian Breeders' Alliance (GEBA) is a group of persons whose primary purpose is to guard the purity and future of Arabian horses with Egyptian bloodlines, particularly those as defined by The Pryamid Society as "Straight Egyptian."
