Futurities
The Pyramid Society's Futurity Program is a lucrative program whereby members may nominate their unborn foals and later show them for high honors and dollars. Over $1,500,000.00 has been paid out since the program's inception.
The Egyptian Event Futurities boasts payouts of over $72,000 and provide opportunities for members to show their futurity-nominated and sustained Straight as well as Egyptian-Sired yearlings and two-year olds for a share of the total purse. Additionally, Straight Egyptian three and four-year olds may continue to participate through the Extended Specialty Program. See Extended Specialty information in the Futurity packet for specific details.
NOTE: Changes to the Egyptian-Sired Futurity program, beginning with 2012 Nominations: Nomination fee is $200 and includes eligibility for yearling participants. Beginning in 2013 a “new and improved” Egyptian-Sired Futurity will be in place. All 2012 nominated yearlings will be eligible to participate as two-year olds in this new program, provided appropriate fees are paid. This increased nomination fee will begin to lay the foundation for larger payouts in this important program.
Futurity Nominations are due by December 31st of the mare's breeding year. Additionally, All EBC foals due in 2012 must be futurity and EBC-nominated by December 31, 2011. This applies to all foals due in 2012 that are eligible for the year 2014 EBC classes. You don’t want to miss your share of over $100,000 in EBC prize money for 2014!!
