Black Stallion Literacy Foundation Update

From Laura Graves:

"We are so very excited for first graders as the  program was presented to children in Inman, South Carolina, our first in my home state, and Ombre Rose was a star, as 'big red'!

Sincere thanks to Jackie, Dale and Ombre Rose Goodrich as they presented first grade books to children who were so excited that they were reading their books as they were walking back to their class rooms!

A photo of this memorable day is attached and the day was shared with television and newspapers in the Spartanburg and Inman areas.  Thanks to a dedicated principal, children are knowing the joy of reading, receiving books and other schools in the area are encouraged to enroll with this most successful event.  We look forward to sharing the Black Stallion Literacy Program with every school in South Carolina and  would so appreciate it if  you could help us  spread the word that this is now available in South Carolina.

News Alert!  The program is now being presented in Texas for both first and fourth graders!  The fourth grade program is now available in San Antonio, Texas with our delightful Anne and John Stone.  Their contact information is crestonesarabs@gvtc.com and we are so very pleased to share that the amazing Arabian Nights will be performing at the Rose Palace Arena for the children on May 6th.

The first grade program is now available with Joyce Jacob in the Houston area for a March presentation for first graders.  Joyce may be contacted at 4Jpecanacres@hughes.net and  we congratulate her as she has been named as co-chairman to an AHA committee, quite an honor.  We welcome any ideas for spreading the word in both locations.

Last week we spoke at the University of Central Arkansas with the charming and entertaining Pricilla Stone and this week will visit all reading specialist at a conference in Little Rock.

Thank you sincerely for your valuable time and for allowing us to share with you growth as we continue to explore new areas and share the joy of reading with children.  Enrollments continue in Florida, Arizona, Arkansas, Louisiana, South Carolina, Mississippi, Colorado with Texas and Georgia beginning enrollments.  The books by Walter Farley may be shared in any state on the first grade level and we would love to welcome all children to find the joy of reading through the magic of our beloved horses.

You are making a difference with your support and we sincerely thank you.

Wishing you an outstanding week filled with wonderful happenings.

Cheers,

Laura and Gene"
