Art with Shary B. Akers

 
 

Wednesday, June 4 following morning classes, to be held in the Equine Artistry Booth, located on the East Side of the Covered Arena.

 
       This internationally recognized and greatly admired artist, will talk about her medium of water color on bark paper.  After learning a few of Shary's techniques, youth participants will then have the opportunity to create their own "Masterpiece"!!.  After careful judging by Shary, the winning design will appear in The Pyramid Report and on Youth Tee Shirts at the 2004 Egyptian Event!!

 

 
     
 

"Getting Started In Performance" with Jennifer Parsons

 
 

Friday, June 6th, Following Morning Classes

 
        Owner of the 2001 Performance Pyramid Champion as well as the Owner and Handler of the Egyptian Breeder's Challenge Colts at the 2002 Egyptian Event, Jennifer Parsons is a winning horsewoman, in the truest sense of the word.  Jennifer will cover the basics of what it takes to start a performance horse.  Avid youth enthusiasts and supporters, she and her husband, Chris Fichaud, also sponsor the Amal Bukra Perpetual Trophy awarded to the Top Junior Exhibitor each year at the Egyptian Event.

The Amal Bukra Perpetual Trophy
To Be Awarded Annually to the Egyptian Event's Top Junior Exhibitor for Excellence in Halter and Performance

 
      A special thanks to Jennifer Parsons and Chris Fichaud of Etaya Egyptian Stud, for their efforts in encouraging youth to compete at the Egyptian Event.  They have commissioned a perpetual trophy, designed by Judy Nordquist, as well as a $500.00 cash prize, to be awarded on Saturday, June 7th, to the Egyptian Event's Top Junior Exhibitor for Excellence in Halter and Performance.  
      Interested participants must register at the show office and
indicate which horses they will be showing.  There is no registration fee required.  Points will be accumulated in all regular and
championship Junior to Handle and Junior to Ride classes, based on the following system:  1st place -5points; 2nd place - 4 points; 3rd place - 3 points; 4th place - 2 points; and 5th place- 1 point.
 
 

Eligible Classes Include: Class #'s 1, 9, 13, 21, 74, 86, 89, and 92.
