Cynthia grew up in a family of artists in Albuquerque, NM.  She studied art in California, Scotland, and Boston and returned to New Mexico in 1993.  Cynthia creates each piece of art individually in her Los Lunas, NM studio.  She uses a black and white photo transfer process combined with layers of intense, vibrant color made from oil pastels.  Her richly textured surfaces depict mysterious, at times three-dimensional images of Egyptian Arabian stallions.  Combined with imagery from Egyptian art and culture, the overall effect captures the antiquity and legend of the breed in a unique, one-of-a-kind piece of art.  Cynthia calls this group of images "Dancing Horses of the Nile".
