"Pamela does
not need an introduction," explains Lynda Al-Nakeeb. "Her work
has been exhibited in the best galleries in London and is in the
finest private collections worldwide."
This year, du
Boulay Egyptian Event offering was "Hilal - Stallion with a Golden
Saddle," originally sculpted by du Boulay in the late 1970's.
The sculpture is based on an Arabian stallion with authentic antique
ceremonial accoutrements. The saddle, like those used by
royalty and dignitaries, is embroidered with golden thread and
encrusted with colored stones. The blue beads, according to
Arabian custom, area protection against the evil eye. The bone
china sculpture has 22-carat gold accoutrements, a platinum bit,
reins of gilded copper wire and a rope of the finest gold braid.
This piece is now being individually handmade to order only, with du
Boulay's final seal of approval. Each piece (limited edition
of 150) comes with a Certificate of Authentication.
Du Boulay's sculpture this year is
being donated by The Horse Trust (formerly the Home of Rest for
Horses) in England, marking the beginning of a reciprocal working
relationship between that organization and The Pyramid Society.
Dr. Josh Slater, President of the British Equine Veterinary
Association, will speak officially on behalf of the Horse Trust, as
a featured speaker at one of this year's Egyptian Event seminars.
